Preparing a private holdings brief for the desk
A clean brief shortens the review. Here is what we ask clients to gather before a Busan desk engagement begins.
Clients sometimes arrive with screenshots and a long verbal history. We can work from that, but a prepared brief saves a week.
Useful materials include a reconciled list of tokens and NFT contracts in scope, notes on lockups or vesting, custody venues, and any family rules that forbid certain concentrations. Mark wallets that are intentionally out of scope so we do not invent completeness.
If tax residency or cross-border heirs are relevant, say so early. We are not counsel, yet those facts change which frictions belong in the allocation memo.
Send the brief through the channel we agree after your inquiry. Do not paste seed phrases or signing keys into email — ever. Holdings summaries and public addresses are enough for desk work.
